While we slept, America has had a coup d’état. The dictionary defines a coup d’état as: a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics; especially: the violent overthrow or alteration of an existing government by a small group.
It was not a violent overthrow, it has been a slow take over of our government by a small group. This small group referred to by many as the 1%. The 1% being corporations, banks and Wall Street which are essentially one and the same. The beauty of their plan was they did it while the average American slept. The American government has been taken over and is now a rogue establishment.
The government slips various bills through congress without the American people even being aware of many of these bills. How can our representatives in Washington represent the people when they no longer hear our voices? They pass bill after bill without the American people knowing until they are already passed. The way they rob us of our liberties is to gradually take it piece by piece and as quietly as they can.
Most Americans do not understand the lack of freedom we have because they do not exercise them enough to notice. People do not see it because their lives revolve around the most basic things. “Wake up, go to work, eat supper, and watch TV go to bed” People are blind to these facts because the majority of Americans have been so manipulated over the years they accept it as normal.
“The United States is one big reservation, and we are all in It.” says Russell Means.” Welcome to the reservation”.
Means warns that “Americans have lost the ability of critical thought, and with each successive generation become more irresponsible and as a consequence less free, disregarding a near-perfect document, the Constitution. Means chronicles the loss of freedom from the 1840’s onward, which marked the birth of the corporation, to Lincoln’s declaration of martial law, to the latter part of the 19th century and into the 20th century when Congress started giving banks the right to rule and private banking interests began printing the money.”
Freedom has all but faded in this country because of government, corrupt politicians, liberal bureaucracy, media, law enforcement, socialism, and the list goes on. The fact of the matter is that people are in shackles and fear if they speak out they will be arrested or fined.
Government at all levels is too large, too expensive, woefully inefficient, arrogant, intrusive, and downright dangerous. Democrats and Republican politicians have created the status qua and do not intend to change it. Politicians from both parties straddle the fence to get elected. We think we have a two-party system, while in fact we have only one because they are both bought and paid for by the same people.
We do not have elections anymore we have auctions. The largest donors win. They win by getting on advisory boards. They basically appoint corporations as Ambassadors. They are allowed to rule our government because they have won the auction. They rule the government in any given area they so choose. They rule our government, without national appointment, they are there to represent their own interest, not the will of the people.
The time has come where we must hold our government accountable for their actions. We must demand they protect us and our rights, and give us the respect we deserve.
Our system is broken and our government will not fix it. It is up to the common man to change our democracy. It will take the will of the people to change this course we are on.
